Welcome to the web site for The Cottier in Glasgow. The Cottier is a former church with a distinctive bar and restaurant in the lively and historic west end of the city. The Cottier Theatre opened in the building in 1994 and has operated for ten years. The building itself has a special place in the city's famous traditions of architecture and design. This has been recognized by the Heritage Lottery Fund, which has awarded a grant of £1.8M to restore the building and its unique interior over the coming years. The story of the theatre and the proposals for the future are described within these web pages.
