Welcome to the web site for The Cottier Theatre in Glasgow. Cottier's is a former church with a distinctive bar and restaurant in the lively and historic west end of the city.

The Cottier Theatre opened in the main building in 1994 and operated for ten years until it closed for restoration in 2005. The theatre, which was formerly Dowanhill Church, has a special place in the city's famous traditions of architecture and design.

This has been recognized by the Heritage Lottery Fund, which has awarded a grant of £1.8M to restore the building and its unique interior.
